with our new opinion survey we specially want to reach the users of the old universes which are different from the new ones in one important point, the missing real redesign features. Astrophysics, changed storage capacity and the changed planet properties.
In earlier times we decided not to implement them due to the big changes in the balancing for old universes but we think it´s time to rethink that aspect. So we now need your opinion to make it part of our consideration.
The changes would be:
Astrophysics instead of Expedition Technology:
Further findings in the field of astrophysics allow for the construction of laboratories that can be fitted on more and more ships. This makes long expeditions far into unexplored areas of space possible. In addition these advancements can be used to further colonize the galaxies. For every two levels of this technology an additional planet can be utilized.
Positions 3 and 13 can be populated from level 4 onwards.
Positions 2 and 14 can be populated from level 6 onwards.
Positions 1 and 15 can be populated from level 8 onwards.
Biggest advantage will be the possibility to colonize more than 9 planets!
Storage capacity:
The capacity will be much lower at the beginning, but will be much cheaper to build up and the capacity will raise much more as in earlier times. Till building level 10 the capacity is lower than before, from 11 on it is higher.
Planet properties:
After the changing we will have a higher minimum size for planets. It still will be possible to find smaller planets, but it won´t be possible to find something below 60 fields that often. On the other side we also cut the maximum size, it won´t be around 330 further on, the best will be around 255.
Also the position for the best planets will change a bit. At the moment you can find the biggest planets on 4/5/6, after the update it will be 7/8/9.
Additionally we enhance the properties of position 1/2/3 and 13/14/15 a bit with the help of a bonus for their temperatures. This way the energy production on 1/2/3 will raise up as well as the deut production on 13/14/15. But please notice disadvantages will raise a bit as well. So we will have less deut on 1/2/3 and less energy on 13/14/15.
All those things just counts for new planets, old ones won´t be changed at all!
In case you would like to have all redesign features they will be implemented directly (meaning that you might need to change levels of your storage to suit your needs, need to upgrade level of astrophysics to gain more colonies, ... ).
